How Long Can You Wear Air Optix?

Air Optix contact lenses are designed for both daily and extended wear, with specific guidelines depending on the product variant.

Air Optix Night & Day Aqua

These lenses are FDA-approved for continuous wear of up to 30 nights and days, including during sleep. They are made from a highly breathable silicone hydrogel material, allowing significant oxygen flow to the eyes.

However, not everyone is suitable for extended wear; approximately two-thirds of users can comfortably wear them for the full 30 nights. It's important to consult with your eye care professional to determine if this wearing schedule is appropriate for you.

Air Optix Plus HydraGlyde

This variant is approved for daily wear and extended wear for up to 6 consecutive nights. After this period, the lenses should be removed, cleaned, and disinfected before reinsertion.

Regular consultation with your eye doctor is recommended for optimal eye health.

Important Considerations

While Air Optix lenses offer flexibility in wear, extended use (especially overnight) can increase the risk of eye complications, such as infections or corneal issues. Always follow the wearing schedule prescribed by your doctor and monitor for any signs of discomfort or vision changes.
